Welcome! This blog will be the home of my new project: a collection of my thoughts about New Brunswick literature. I won’t just focus on authors from here—though I do think we’re responsible for many greats—but I plan to look at some great books written about or set here by non-New Brunswick authors. By no means am I a regionalist: I just happen to be from here and think the greater world out there ought to know more about this wonderful place and its literary landscape. Who better to tell them than a passionate New Brunswicker? Relevant links will also find a home here, specifically those that have some connection with literary news: book reviews, interviews, etc. But mostly it will contain my thoughts about New Brunswick literature. These will be in the forms of reviews, exegesis, and basically anything that strikes me as interesting. I hope you enjoy your visits and participate in some discussions that are bound to crop up. In short, if it has to do with New Brunswick literature, I would hope you find out about it here first!

Spem Reduxit, by the way, for those that don’t know, is the Latin motto of New Brunswick and means “Hope Restored.”
